Matthew Garrison is a Texas native having graduated from Cedar Park High School. He attended Texas Tech University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At Texas Tech, Mr. Garrison studied conducting with Dr. Eric Allen, and Wind Literature with Dr. Sarah McKoin. Mr. Garrison spent three summers with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps marching trumpet for two summers (2009, 2012) and mellophone for one (2010).

Prior to coming to Lehman, Mr. Garrison served at the Assistant Director of Bands at David Crockett High School from 2015-2017. While at Crockett, Mr. Garrison led the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Leadership Team, and Colorguard. Under his direction the ensembles grew, the Marching Band and Symphonic Band were both recognized with UIL Division One Ratings.

From 2013-2015, Mr. Garrison was on staff with the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps, having served two years as the Visual Caption Head and one as Assistant Director. He has also worked as a Marching Technician for Frenship High School, Clinician for Elgin High School, and Student Teacher for Anderson High School.

Mr. Garrison is excited to join the Lehman Lobo Band family!
