jacob grossMr. Gross is a native of Roselle, IL and graduated from Lake Park High School. His band directors in high school included Ken Snoeck and Mike Chiodo. Mr. Gross then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where he studied music education and conducting with Dr. Joseph Manfredo as well as clarinet with Useon Choi and J. David Harris. He began his drum corps career with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA where he played mellophone from 2006-2008. For the 2009 and 2010 seasons, he was a member of Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from Fort Mill, SC and continued to play the mellophone.

After graduating from the University of Illinois, Mr. Gross joined the instructional staff for the Lake Park High School Marching Band. In the summer of 2011 he moved to Austin, TX to accept a position as Assistant Band Director at David Crockett High School in the Austin Independent School District. Mr. Gross served on the brass staff for the Legends Drum and Bugle Corps from Kalamazoo, MI for the 2011 and 2012 season before moving to his current role on the visual staff of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps from Madison, WI.

Mr. Gross is extremely excited to be a part of the Lehman Lobo Band and looks forward to a great season!
