Good morning Band Parents,
Welcome to the 2017-2018 Lehman Lobo Band Boosters (LLBB). I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far.
I would like to first start off by introducing myself as some of you may not know me, my name is Melissa Partain. I served as last year’s Volunteer Coordinator and I am this year’s Band Booster President. I am very excited to still be part of the Band Boosters as I had such a great time being connected and involved with the band program and with the students. I was able to meet a lot of the parents who helped by volunteering, providing waters, cheering in the stands and more.
Joining me on the board this year are returning Band Booster Parents, Rosie Barrera – Co-Vice President, Sarah Sambrano – Treasurer, Mary Torres – Secretary, Chacho Barrera-Pit Crew Coordinator, and Santiago Torres – Advertising Coordinator. They each have several years of experience, who have helped and served in the past. We are all here to help and make this year the best.
We will be hitting the ground running by selling Shaved Ice at the Hays CISD PAC (Performing Arts Center) for the Star Spangled Event on July 4th. Also, on July 7th, the Band Boosters will be selling Shaved Ice at Movies at the Lake event at Lake Kyle.
Shaved Ice, aka Lobo Ice, is our number one fundraiser for the band booster organization. It’s very important to have a great impact when we fundraise so we ask for parents to help us by volunteering for these events. I will post these events on Charms so you can sign up to volunteer. If you need help signing up, please reach out and I can help.
We will be holding our first “Meet & Greet” General Meeting on Monday, July 10th at 7:00pm in the LHS Band Hall. We encourage everyone to attend. If you or someone you know is interested in being part of the board, please email me, we still have several open positions:
Ways of Means Coordinator
Hope you can come out and enjoy some of these events and come get connected.
